What's Actually Happening

Why Whitby's Creek Corridors Are Flooding Your Property

Aging Infrastructure Was Never Built for Today's Density

Whitby's mature subdivisions — particularly those near Pringle, Corbett, Lynde Creeks, and more — were built around drainage infrastructure sized for a different era. As hard surfaces multiply and lots intensify, the swales and catch basins that once managed runoff are overwhelmed. That water ends up on your property.

When legacy systems fail, your lot absorbs the overflow.

Every New Hard Surface Adds to Your Problem

When neighbours repave, expand their footprint, or add impermeable surfaces, less water infiltrates the ground. That extra runoff sheets across lots, follows grades, and collects at low points — often yours. The problem compounds every year without an engineered correction.

Runoff compounds year over year without an engineered fix.

Heavy Rain Now Means Property Damage

Yard pooling, water tracking toward foundations, degraded surfaces, saturated soil — these are symptoms of a drainage system that can't handle modern conditions. Left unaddressed, each storm does incremental damage. The Town of Whitby recognised this and created a program to fund the fix.

The Town of Whitby created a funded program to solve this.

This is an engineering problem — and the Town of Whitby is paying you to solve it.

Beautiful Surfaces. Serious Drainage Performance.

We design and install stormwater systems that solve your drainage problem and enhance your property's beauty — engineered for Whitby lots and fully compliant with Durham Region and CLOCA requirements.

Commercial-grade clear-stone sub-base stormwater system

A Sub-Base Built to Last — and Drain

Our structural clear-stone sub-base is compacted to commercial standards — built to carry load and last decades. Below the surface, it functions as a private underground storm reservoir, intercepting and slowly releasing runoff before it reaches your foundation or overwhelms the municipal storm sewer.

Permeable Driveways & Surfaces

Water moves through a permeable surface immediately — soaking into the sub-base reservoir below rather than sheeting across your property or pooling at your foundation wall. Resin bound aggregate is engineered for freeze-thaw cycles: no cracking, no heaving, outlasting concrete through Canadian winters.

Rain Gardens & More — An Additional $3,500

Beyond permeable pavement, the program funds a suite of complementary upgrades: architecturally designed rain gardens, infiltration galleries, downspout disconnections, rain barrels, French drains, and underdrains. Each adds rebate value while enhancing your landscape — planted for beauty as much as performance.
